AI Readiness
Does the tool output data that an LLM can actually use? We score tools higher when they return clean markdown, support RAG pipelines natively, or have direct integrations with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or agent frameworks.
Compare APIs, crawlers, and OSINT tools - pricing, speed, free tiers, and S/A/B tier rankings, all in one place.

Methodology
Every tool is evaluated against six criteria. Scores reflect real production usage — not vendor claims.
How we score
Does the tool output data that an LLM can actually use? We score tools higher when they return clean markdown, support RAG pipelines natively, or have direct integrations with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or agent frameworks.
We look at real cost at production scale — not just the headline price. Free tier generosity, credit expiry policies, PAYG vs subscription tradeoffs, and whether costs compound at volume all factor into the score.
Latency is measured under realistic conditions. A tool that returns in 400ms consistently beats one that averages 200ms but spikes to 60s on deep searches. We also factor in uptime track record and rate limit defaults.
How long does it take to go from API key to working output? We score API clarity, documentation quality, SDK availability, and how much infrastructure you need to own — proxies, scheduling, error handling — before it works in production.
For search tools, index size and freshness matter. We compare independent indexes vs Google wrappers, niche coverage gaps, crawl freshness, and whether the tool handles entity lookups, news, and long-tail queries reliably.
Can you actually ship this? We weigh SOC 2 compliance, concurrency limits, self-hosting options, vendor lock-in risk, and whether teams have reported issues scaling beyond prototype usage in real production environments.
Tier definitions
Best-in-class for its category. Scores 8+ on AI readiness. Actively maintained with strong community adoption. The default choice unless you have a specific reason to go elsewhere.
Solid production choice with clear tradeoffs. May lack one or two features of S-Tier tools but excels in a specific dimension — cost, privacy, self-hosting, or niche coverage.
Works for specific use cases but not a default recommendation. Often has significant limitations in AI readiness, cost at scale, or integration complexity that make it a second-choice option.
